Do I see it right that it is not possible to upgrade Enterprise Plus 6.x licenses to 6.5 without paying for an upgrade?!?

    Hello Deas,
There is no need to upgrade your licenses from 6.0 to 6.5 from my vmware portal. 6.0 licenses can also apply to 6.5. you can think like 6.x.

When UPGRADING your current VCSA6.0 to VCSA6.5 you need to specify a new VM. in my case that is not an upgrade but a more or less start from beginning and import your ESX hosts after that.

This is how upgrades of VCSA has been since its first release in 5.0. You're starting with a new VM image, but your entire configuration (networking, configuration, db, etc) is all moved over, so you're not starting from scratch. Please see http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2016/11/will-i-get-photon-os-when-i-upgrade-my-vcsa-5-56-0-to-vcsa-6-5.html for more details on how the upgrade process works if you're not familiar with it.

Is the new H5 client supported with vCenter 6.0? How can I install the H5 client only and "point" it to an existing vCenter instance? Thanks.

If you want to try the H5 Client w/vSphere 6.0, have a look at the Fling https://labs.vmware.com/flings/vsphere-html5-web-client. In vSphere 6.5, the H5 Client is bundle w/the VCSA 6.5 and its tied to the VC, there's no pointing as it just works OOTB.

Sweet! Any chance for a write-up for how to upgrade a vSAN cluster from 6.2 to 6.5 with vCenter running on that vSAN cluster? You're the man William!

No, there is no such thing. Also note, the Mac Mini's are not officially supported.

William, your link to VDDK RN doesn't work. The correct one is http://pubs.vmware.com/Release_Notes/en/developer/vddk/65/vsphere-vddk-65-release-notes.html

Thank you for sharing. Although I am not a vmware specialist, but I find it handy for network lab virtualisation.

How do we update the H5 client with the latest Fling? SSHing to the vCSA and doing ./installer-2.14.0.bsx seems like it might not be the best idea, especially since I don't see the vsphere-h5-client-2.13.0-4616630.noarch rpm.

The HPE Version of 6.5 has been published this morning.
    https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?downloadGroup=OEM-ESXI65-HPE&productId=615

William, would you be so kind as to put this behind your download link for ESXi 6.5 as something like (HPE) with HPE linking to the above URL? The Dell and Cisco guys can perhaps do the same.
